Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave. Safari uses a native built-in extension. Chrome, Edge, and Brave use a lightweight native messaging bridge.
Browse to a page with media content. Liryn's browser extension automatically detects downloadable media (HLS, DASH, and direct files). Click the Liryn icon in your browser toolbar or check the Captured tab in the app.
Check your internet connection, ensure the source URL is still available, and verify the site isn't in your blocked list (Settings → Policies). Some session-bound streams require an active browser session. Try retrying the download from the Downloads tab.
Go to Settings → Policies → Bypass Rules. You can add rules by host, URL path prefix, or exact URL. Matching captures will be sent to your browser's built-in download manager instead of Liryn.
By default, downloads are saved to ~/Downloads/Liryn. You can change this in Settings → Downloads → Save location. With Category subfolders enabled, files are sorted into Media, Documents, Applications, and Other.
